MEAT RUBS AND SPICES

Meat rubs and spices are dry mixtures of herbs, spices, and other flavourings that are rubbed onto meat before cooking to enhance its flavour and create a crust. They typically include salt, pepper, sugar, paprika, and a variety of other spices and aromatics like garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, and cumin. Rubs are applied to the surface of the meat, either immediately before cooking or after marinating, and are often used for low and slow barbecuing and smoking.

NUTS

Packed with essential vitamins and minerals, including potassium, they are a valuable addition to any diet. Incorporating peanuts can enhance your meals while providing important nutrients for a lifestyle.

PICKLES AND SAUCES

Pickles and sauces are diverse condiments, often used to enhance the flavour and texture of various dishes. Pickles are typically vegetables or fruits preserved in a brine or vinegar solution, offering a tangy or sour taste. Sauces, on the other hand, are liquid or semi-liquid preparations that add flavour, moisture, and visual appeal to food. Examples include chutneys, relishes, and specialised sauces like steak sauce or peri-peri.

JAMS AND MARMALADES

Jams and marmalades are both fruit preserves, but they differ in their ingredients and texture. Jam is typically made from crushed or pureed fruit cooked with sugar, resulting in a thick, spreadable consistency. Marmalade, on the other hand, is a citrus-based preserve containing pieces of citrus peel suspended in a gelled mixture of sugar, water, and citrus fruit pulp or juice.

It's typically made with a combination of fruits, vegetables, and/or herbs cooked with vinegar, sugar, and spices. Chutneys can vary in texture, from chunky to smooth, and in flavour, ranging from sweet to spicy. They are used to add depth and complexity to a variety of dishes, or as a standalone accompaniment
